Hi guys,

I am a UK University undergraduate, and I would be very grateful to anyone if they were able to provide me with statistics relating to the India's
IT labour work force and in particular the % proportions of women in IT
and Computing related employment. I specifically require data for (1)
total workforce employed in the IT sector and (2) data broken down by
gender for the IT sector.

This information is being sought for a research study I am undertaking
entitled 'Women in IT'. The study is part of a degree dissertation seeking
to investigate the links between the numbers of women entering careers in
IT from a social shaping and cultural background perspective.

I have to date been unable to find/obtain the above data from reliable and verifiable sources. As such, I am very much hoping that someone may be able to assist with my request by providing the missing
statistics I require for my research study.
