Zidane & Materazzi are both known for their temper & bad language.


Playing for Juventus five years ago, Zidane butted Jochen Kientz of Hamburger SV in a Champions League match, earning a red card.

Eight years ago, Zidane was red-carded for stomping on an opponent while playing Saudi Arabia. At this World Cup he collected two yellow cards and was suspended for France's third group match against Togo.

Materazzi was suspended two months for punching Siena's Bruno Cirillo after a Serie A match.

U have hit the nail right on its head..Even in the post match discussions on ESPN sumthing was mentioned about Zizou's temper and the way he had behaved with a Saudi player....
I guess FIFA is investigating what actually happened... Usual Smile

This is what I read............

Apparantly Materazzi was holding Zidane's shirt during the match.
So Zidane said "If you want my shirt so bad, you can have it
after the game."

Materazzi said "I would rather have your woman's shirt"
Materazzi was referring Zidane's wife who is a spanish dancer.

Materazzi also said "You should not play for France."
He meant that Zidane is not borne in France and he is borne in Algeria.

Also Zidane says that Materrazi called him a terrorist and used very very bad words for his
mother and sister which Materazzi denied.

Materazzi said he never said any bad words for Zidane's family as
he himself lost this mother at the age 14 and he believes that mother
is sacred and he has not used the word terrorist for Zidane as he
does not know about islamic terrorism.

Sure Zidane has a bad temper. Someone or the other in their career do get yellow and red cards !! But now, as a captain, and that too in the final match, in the final minutes, such action by him must be having a strong reason. Materazzi provoked him to this extent. FIFA is now going to quiz  Materazzi all about this !!

Now something very interesting here.... "Though I have been a diehard fan of Italy..." :D

Okies, I think there is something foul here....Italian football is under microscope especially with heavy betting and scandals..Infact, one of the footballer is believed to have committed suicide(some say thrown away) by jumping out of the window from a premier club headquarters..

Also to be noticed is the fact that Materazzi was involved in both the goals and also involved in the dual with Zizou...Something interest ayeeeee!!!
