I love national pride,its amazing but this is exactly what i wanted to read,the fact that no one agreed and all of ypur'll rallied to the defence of your country,it show that the future of India is in good,no great hands,your'll take pride from the past,are involved in the present,and have hope in the future,bravo to you all,syednaami,good come back,although religious riots made headlines about two years ago,but I can see what you saying by the media  and I'm politicions flaming such incidences.
I did check out India's census,interesting read,although,i failed to find income per person,or the amount of people that live under what the UN defines as
the poverty line.
Pooja you have to bad i had no idea about what you said,but judging by your earlier replies I'm sure tehy are filled with evidence of your vast knowledge,and beaming with national pride.

Certain links are truely beyond rational explanation's.
Although,in her prayer she did ask a question to God,and her reply was given "by or through" the innocence of the child whom God has gifted her with.In that respect God is great and it is true that he alway's here's the prayer's of the opressed.

Few things bothered me thou
1)40 of the worlds billionaires are Indian,yet poverty is so
  wide spread.
2)Religious and gender intolerence makes international news 
  almost daily
3)Just about all the new money maker's,including those who were 
  mentioned as running top U.S. companies would have been 
  marginalised or would probably never have been able to achieve
  that same success if they stayed in India.
4)Corruption is rife
5)Oppresion of people due to there religion or cast seems to
  be an in-escapable reality.
Please dont get me wrong,I have a habit of being a going against the grain,the thing is,I want the whole picture,not a biased one sided view.
Niether do i mean to force the issue,but after having some rather nasty comments made to me on Yo-India,including receiving a derogatry P.M. regarding my religion it really got me thinking.

If India is so great why are so many of its citizens spread out in all parts of the world.

Regarding this whole cast issue,it seems that it was so deeply entrenched in Indian culture,that when my great grand parents,and very many of the other Indians who came over to South Africa,changed there surnames,just to escape the stigma that there family name carried and shake of any association with the class classification in India.
I dont wish to offend any one but I love i good debate.
