salaam brother karan.....i dont know one thing why cant u prove ur statements logically and practically i would be happy if u can prove any one of them.... like u said that if anyone keeps eating meat his intellect become grosser whic means moti buddhi but i can tell u heaps of people who are sharp minded and they are non vegetarian and there are many vegetarians who are not that intellectual or sharp so this is not a logical answer and if u eat veg or non veg u wont get any problem in understanding the god

Meat is nutritious and rich in complete protein

Non-vegetarian food is a good source of excellent protein. It contains biologically complete protein i.e. all the 8 essential amino acid that are not synthesized by the body and should be supplied in the diet. Meat also contains iron, vitamin B1 and niacin.

4.   Humans have Omnivorous set of teeth

If you observe the teeth of herbivorous animals like the cow, goat and sheep, you will find something strikingly similar in all of them. All these animals have a set of flat teeth i.e. suited for herbivorous diet. If you observe the set of teeth of the carnivorous animals like the lion, tiger, or leopard, they all have a set of pointed teeth i.e. suited for a carnivorous diet. If you analyze the set of teeth of humans, you find that they have flat teeth as well as pointed teeth. Thus they have teeth suited for both herbivorous as well as carnivorous food i.e. they are omnivorous. One may ask, if Almighty God wanted humans to have only vegetables, why did He provide us also with pointed teeth? It is logical that He expected us to need and to have both vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian food.

Human beings can digest both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food

The digestive system of herbivorous animals can digest only vegetables. The digestive system of carnivorous animals can digest only meat. But the digestive system of humans can digest both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. If Almighty God wanted us to have only vegetables then why did He give us a digestive system that can digest both vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian food?
Even plants have life

Certain religions have adopted pure vegetarianism as a dietary law because they are totally against the killing of living creatures. If a person can survive without killing any living creature, I would be the first person to adopt such a way of life. In the past people thought plants were lifeless. Today it is a universal fact that even plants have life. Thus their logic of not killing living creatures is not fulfilled even by being a pure vegetarian.

9.   Even plants can feel pain

They further argue that plants cannot feel pain, therefore killing a plant is a lesser crime as compared to killing an animal. Today science tells us that even plants can feel pain. But the cry of the plant cannot be heard by the human being. This is due to the inability of the human ear to hear sounds that are not in the audible range i.e. 20 Hertz to 20,000 Hertz. Anything below and above this range cannot be heard by a human being. A dog can hear up to 40,000 Hertz. Thus there are silent dog whistles that have a frequency of more than 20,000 Hertz and less than 40,000 Hertz. These whistles are only heard by dogs and not by human beings. The dog recognizes the masters whistle and comes to the master. There was research done by a farmer in U.S.A. who invented an instrument which converted the cry of the plant so that it could be heard by human beings. He was able to realize immediately when the plant itself cried for water. Latest researches show that the plants can even feel happy and sad. It can also cry.

10.   Killing a living creature with two senses less is not a lesser crime

Once a vegetarian argued his case by saying that plants only have two or three senses while the animals have five senses.

Therefore killing a plant is a lesser crime than killing an animal. Suppose your brother is born deaf and dumb and has two senses less as compared to other human beings. He becomes mature and someone murders him. Would you ask the judge to give the murderer a lesser punishment because your brother has two senses less? In fact you would say that he has killed a masoom, an innocent person, and the judge should give the murderer a greater punishment.

so ur comments on this statement is not logical brother karan

bhaijaan!

God is beyond logic...no one can realise God by arguing logically...

As far as proof of my statements about food is concerned...i can't prove this...somethings have to be experienced, they can't be proved...

Like, if someone doesn't know the taste of sweet, how will you explain the sweet taste to that person...there is only way, make him eat sweet...

I m not supporting vegetarianism...neither am i opposing non-vegetarianism...

What i m trying to tell you is that to understand deeper concepts of spirituality one needs to have a subtle intellect...doesn't matter how intelligent a person is in the gross world, if he wants to grasp the subtle aspects of spirituality, he has to change his food habits...

You have read BhagwadGita...how come you don't know about three gunas called Sattva, rajas and tamas...discussed in Chapter 17

Even pure vegetarian people can be tamsic and rajasic if they keep on eating spicy foods...

Its the Sattva guna that is required (the essential pre-requisite for a sadhak) for understanding subtlety of spiritual world...

Now, sattva guna can be increased only be eating as less as spicy food as possible and no non-vegetarian food...

Forget about amino acids and proteins...theory of scientists keeps on changing day in and day out...

The base of sadhna or spirituality is Aahaar
Aahaarshuddho Sattvashuddhi
Sattvashuddho Dhruvsmriti

When Aahaar or Food becomes pure, Sattva guna increases and when Sattva guna increases, the intellect becomes subtle and things begin to look clear...

Now, what is Aahaar?
Aahaar means the food of all the five senses of sensation...objects are aahaar for eyes, sound is aahaar for ears, smell is aahaar for nose, food taste is aahaar for tongue and touch is aahaar for body...

So, it is not just food whose purity is to be maintained for making the intellect subtle but purity in food of all the five senses should be strictly maintained...

If someone keeps on eating meat, watching movies, listening to filmi songs, using perfumes and keeps on shaking hands...then he has no right to discuss spirituality...

Don't try to become a teacher just by reading a few books...
Shastrajalam maha-aranyam...Shastra ki mayajal bhayanak jungle ke saman hay, ek bar fus gaye to nikalna mushkil ho jayega...

First become a student, learn to bow down to wise people, learn to be humble...
Tadvidhhi pranipaten pariprashnen sevya...Gita, maybe Chapter4, don't remember
O Arjun! Go to the gyanis i.e. wise, bow down to them properly and then ask them your query when they look satisfied with you...they will tell you the secrets of this universe...

Spirituality is not  for people who can't live without the pleasures of the world...

You cannot have best of both the worlds (materialistic as well as spiritual)

The road of spirituality is not that easy...
Kabira fal ati door hay jaise per khajoor
Chare to chakhe prem rus gire to chaknachoor

Read Chapter 17 of Bhagvad Gita, consult Swami Sivananda's website...read some of his books available on-line...may Allah show you the way :!:

ok brother karan first analyse the things before continuing further

see first thing is when god says that no one has seen him he is bodyless he has no daughter no son he cant be born he wont die he is all alone without any partners....now as a simple human being or as a intelligent person this message is giving same meaning so if someone says to me that this is a picture of god or this is son of god i will not believe him as my almighty has said that he is all alone and unseen but if someone says that ya he is unseen and all alone but u know if he comes in avtar u can see him or he he takes a human form then u can see him ......now that statement is also not true because i believe in what god has said to all of us is true and the thing he is saying is not true so i will simply say no to him as i believe only in one unseen god then why i have to make his picture to concentrate if i face some problem in doing concentration then i have to put my efforts to make it better but i dont have to make a picture of unseen or almighty god and then say that it will help me to concentrate because now i have his picture in my mind and its easy to concentrate now which is also wrong as when no one has seen him then no one has got authority to make pictures of him and even if he is making it he is lying.........the second thing is about the food i do agree that we should have good food but that doesnt mean vegetarian it can be veg or non veg or both but it should be lawfull and i do agree that our behaviour also helps us in our concentration like if u watch movies or touch a girl or do other thing then its not a lawfull thing to do islam do say no to all these shamefull acts and orders all the humans to cover themselves as for women to cover full and for man to cover his body with loose clothes the concept of doing that is when u see a women covered full u will not think bad about her as far as if u see a women in short clothes or half clothes u fell like teasing her or making fantacies about her which is a shameful act and also a barrier in ur concentration....and its a logical as well as practical and as i told u that the statements u quote should be logical and practicle because when u say dont do this then u should also say that why u r saying not to do this whats wrong in that why its not good in the same way when god says anyting to human kind that do these things and dont do these things there have to be some logic behind that as god almighty will never say anything which is not logical but its us who change his words and say that god said this even if he didnt ......well as far as i am concerned i can give u the answers logically without hurting the sprituality and also to give the clear picture.....hope tp hear from u soon

god says that no one has seen him he is bodyless

my almighty has said that he is all alone and unseen

Dear Salaam,
I do agree that Absolute Truth or God almighty is formless, but that doesn't mean that he can not take form...

Just read your sentences that i have quoted above from your last msg..if God is bodyless, how could he talk and if no one has seen him then how you communicated with him...i have never seen anybody communicating with some unseen creature...

i would like to have your clarifications...

salaam brother karan.....
its a human nature that he wants everything according to his imagination and he follows what he feels right even if its not...first of all the quotation i have made that the almighty is prue and bodyless and he is all alone is from ur own religious scriptures........the second thing is that the human knowledge is very limited in understanding the god we are no where near to his intelligence from any point of view .........like when we say that god is everywhere that doesnt mean that he is everywhere physically but it means that the knowledge and intelligence of his creation is present everywhere in this world and outside the world so he is infact everywhere
and to him its not hard to communicate without having body as he is all powerful and capable to do anything he wishes if we take an example of air we can say that no one in this world has seen air but still we can feel it and if it comes in certain speed we can also hear the movement of its speed so if someone say that he has seen air then i am sure that u will not believe him because its not possible for a human to see the air......same is when he says that no one has seen him then he is not lying to us and not making fool of us by saying that u cannot see me and then by saying that u can see me if i become human...as the god do godly things he wont trick to humans nor he gonna lie to us the people who have made the statues and idols and they say that its a god then they either dont know what they are doing or they are lying to themselve and others......the other things is when he says that he dont have any son any daughter or wife or father or mother he is all alone this quotation is also from ur religious books in which u believe in so now here if we put an example of shiva ...he has got son( ganesh) parwati(wife) ...so he cant be a god same u can apply to differents forms which are present u will find that all of them does not pass the test...which is that he is all alone, useen, without any partners, parents, son, wife, daughter he is all powerful and almighty...the other things is that why cant we obey to what he has asked us why do we associate partners to him why we say that to make the pictures of the thing which no one has seen is ok so as to concentrate ???even if u make the idols of unseen still ur mind is concentrating in wrong direction as in ur mind there is a picture of an idol.

Despite the absurdity of the philosophy of anthropomorphism, followers of many religions believe in and preach it to others. Is it not an insult to human intelligence and to the Creator who gave us this intelligence? Such people are truly ‘deaf’ and ‘blind’ despite the faculty of hearing and sight given to them by Allah. The Qur’an says:

"Deaf, dumb, and blind,
They will not return (to the path)."
           [Al-Qur’an 2:18]

The Bible gives a similar message in the Gospel of Matthew:

"Seeing they see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand."
                 [The Bible, Matthew 13:13]

A similar message is also given in the Hindu Scriptures in the Rigveda.

"There maybe someone who sees the words and yet indeed does not see them; may be another one who hears these words but indeed does not hear them." 1
                   [Rigveda 10:71:4]

All these scriptures are telling their readers that though the things are made so clear yet many people divert away from the truth

The major difference between the Hindu and the Muslim perception of God is the common Hindus’ belief in the philosophy of Pantheism. Pantheism considers everything, living and non-living, to be Divine and Sacred. The common Hindu, therefore, considers everything as God. He considers the trees as God, the sun as God, the moon as God, the monkey as God, the snake as God and even human beings as manifestations of God!

Islam, on the contrary, exhorts man to consider himself and his surroundings as examples of Divine Creation rather than as divinity itself. Muslims therefore believe that everything is God’s i.e. the word ‘God’ with an apostrophe ‘s’. In other words the Muslims believe that everything belongs to God. The trees belong to God, the sun belongs to God, the moon belongs to God, the monkey belongs to God, the snake belongs to God, the human beings belong to God and everything in this universe belongs to God.

Thus the major difference between the Hindu and the Muslim beliefs is the difference of the apostrophe ‘s’. The Hindu says everything is God. The Muslim says everything is God’s.

Dear Salaam,
at one place you are saying that God is all powerful...and then you also say that he can't take form...if God can't take form, how he is all powerful :?:

Let me explain you the concept of God in Hinduism...
Hindus have many concepts of God but the one I believe in is called the Vedanta system of philosophy which follow the upanishadic teachings...

According to Vedanta, there is nothing in this universe except God and we are all his different forms...the pure is God as well as the impure is God...the saint is God as well as the criminal is God...when we say someone or something as God what me mean is its true nature, the absolute truth...the good nature and the bad nature are impositions of nature on the absolute truth...if someone follows a good company he becomes good and if someone follows a bad company he becomes bad...

The absolute truth is only one and it is formless but that doesn't mean that it can't take form...if it can't take form, how can it make a world full of forms/objects...(please see your quotations 1 and 2 above)

Now as regards the question of Lord Shiva...Hindus consider the self realised souls as no different from God...by the term self-realisation is meant the knower of absolute truth...that is why self realised Guru's are placed in the same category as God...

Now a days, a song has come, Bulla ki jana mein kaun?...just listen to it...its nothing but Shankaracharya's Chidanandrupah Shivoham, in a new format...

Baba Bulleshah, the author of the song was a self-realised soul...quite a good no. of muslim saints have reached the state of self-realisation...notably among them are Baba Bulleshah, Baba Farid, Rabiya Begum...Mansur, who was killed by the then emperor for claiming that he is God himself...so you need to read your history also...

Till which standard have you studied science, Salaam.. :?:

According to Einstein's mass energy equation, all the matter is convertible into energy...if we convert all matter of the universe into energy...only one thing remains....Energy

This is precisely, what has been said in Hindu scriputres, the Sun, the moon, the trees, the snakes, the good, the bad are all manifestations of God...

Good and Bad are relative things...bad exists because good exists...night exists because day exists...in reality there is nothing good or bad...its only one Parbrahm Parmeshwar everywhere doing lila...

Don't take this world seriously...God hasn't made this world for people to become serious...this world is his lila, sport

In an Ocean, there is nothing but water...but we can see waves, bubbles, foam...so, do you think these things are different from water...no dear, they are different forms of the same water...

Kabira kuan ek hay, paniharin anek
Nyare nyare bartano mein pani ek ka ek

Ek nur te sab jag upjiya, kaun bhale kaun mande, kudrat ke sab bande...Nanakji

Don't jump to conclustions fast...be patient...if you sincerely want to know the true nature of God, read the life of self-realised Hindu/Muslim saints...mere bookish knowledge is no good...and there is no end to intellectual discussions also...God is beyond intellectual decision...you can never understand him just by reading books...you need a Guru, a self-realised soul, who can guide you in the path of spirituality

I am out of this discussion...won't be arguing about nature of God anymore...

Only that to whom God reveals his nature understands him, all else are groping in darkness...

Soi janai jehi dehu janai
Janai tumhi tumhai hoi jaai.......Ramcharitmanas, Uttarsopan

True wisdom lies in knowing that we know nothing...Socrates

One who says knows not and one who knows says not...

Bhikha baat agam ki kahan sunan ki nahi
Jaane so bole nahin, kahe so jaane nahi

May God bless you with his wisdom... :!:

salaam brother karan.....its ok if u waan be out of the discussion and its gonna be my last message to u as well if i didnt get the reply and hope that u goona understand what i am saying...may ALLAH make ur mind and heart open to understand and feel the truth....as u said that...

Hindus have many concepts of God but the one I believe in is called the Vedanta system of philosophy which follow the upanishadic teachings...

now the upnishad says that.....

The following verses from the Upanishads refer to the Concept of God:

"Ekam evadvitiyam"
"He is One only without a second."
        [Chandogya Upanishad 6:2:1]1

"Na casya kascij janita na cadhipah."
"Of Him there are neither parents nor lord."
         [Svetasvatara Upanishad 6:9]2

"Na tasya pratima asti"
"There is no likeness of Him."
        [Svetasvatara Upanishad 4:19]3

The following verses from the Upanishad allude to the inability of man to imagine God in a particular form:

"Na samdrse tisthati rupam asya, na caksusa pasyati kas canainam."

"His form is not to be seen; no one sees Him with the eye."
        [Svetasvatara Upanishad 4:20]4

now when the almight himself is saying that the man dont have the power to imagine the almighty and no eye no matter how much superior it is ...still cannot see him ...thats what upnishad says about almighty...but still u say that why cant he become a human? see the thing is the almighty is all powerfull he can do whatever he wants to but when he says that no one can see him and no one can imagine him that means that there is not a single person in this whole universe who can imagie his form so the people who say that this person is god or avtar they are simply lying according to upnishad.....
the second thing is ..human is impure form of life who needs food to eat then he has to go to call of nature (toilet) then he needs physical satisfaction for himself and all other things...so do u think that the creator and the all mighty will prefer to become human to do all these things where in upnishad the almighty is saying that he has no son no daughter no partners and how can u be satisfied by making the almighty in such a lower form ? why he should look like us why not more superior why ur heart says that if he takes form or get created then only u will accept otherwise not on the other hand ur religion is prohibitting this thing ....

ALLAH SAYS IN QURAN
THERE IS NOT A SINGLE PLACE IN THIS WORLD WHERE WE DIDNT SEND OUR MESSENGERS TO GUIDE PEOPLE(that he is the only one god and pray to him alone without making partners to him) SO THAT ON THE DAY OF THE JUDGEMENT THEY CANNOT SAY THAT THERE WAS NO ONE TO GUIDE US.

it was really nice talking to u brother karan and i feel good to talk to u because u know about the religion but as a brother i do suggest u that u should go through the other religious books as well so as to know about truth and to get more knowledge as well i can tell u one website if u get time to have a look u can see that as well and i have made some of my quotations from this site as well its www.irf.net ...hope to talk to u again till then take care and salaam

Visited this site for the first time and was delighted to the topic you are discussing. You have good knowledge yaar.
People always try to find the difference between various religions and fight. However, don't  you think that if we try to find the common points between all the religions, we will get to know what true religion is and it will unite us instead of dividing. Let me tell you few common points of all the four famous religions of India, Hinduism,  Islam, Sikhism and Christianity.

1) If you see the worship place of all there are four things in common: Light as it symbolises God (Diya in temple, Candle in Church, Shama in Masjid and Jyoti in Gurudwara), Sound( Bhajan, Hymns, Kawwali, Shabad respectively), Amrit(Charnamrit, Holy water, Aabe-zam-zam,Charnamrut) and some scent.

2) All say God is within us.

3) All talk of three things, charity, prayer and devotion.

4) All talk of a messenger who will reveal us the truth. All had great messengers who meditated and  who could do miracles. And all worship them like Godmen.

5) All say that who do not have love for God are equal to dead. It is written in Ramayan, Guru Granth Sahib, Quran and in Bible too.

This means that true religion should help us in understanding all these things and the reasons behind it. I have a spiritual master or a messenger who has shown me the light of God inside me, made me hear those inner sounds and told me the Gods name which is beyond letters and cannot be pronouned by tongue. With his grace and meditating I have been able to understand many religious sayings of the scriptuers and saints of all religions. A true master can only tell us how to meditate as he opens our third eye which Krishna gave to Arjuna.
But there are lot of cheaters on the name of Guru, so be very very careful. Test Guru as Vivekananda tested his master ramakrishna. He asked him, Can you see God, and can u show me? He replied yes and he did show him.Have to tell u lot more but I will continue only if u guys liked this. Let me know.

Per Hindu relegion:

Brahma creates human lives
Vishnu keeps the lives going
Shiva takes the life back

Interestingly the word GOD can be thought as an abbreviation to:

G - Generator - Brahma
O - Operator - Vishnu
D - Destroyer - Shiva

One other thing of noteworthy is:

G is the 7th letter
O is the 15th letter
D is the 4th letter

7 + 15 + 4 is 26,
thus personifying the omni-potent,
omni-present Almighty GOD

Hey Pooja thanks for sharing this with us
