मुलाक़ातों का सिलसिला अब तो शुरू कर दीजिये,
मेरे बेरंग जीवन में प्यार का रंग भर दीजिये.

कब से बैठा हूँ एक प्यारे साथी की तलाश में,
मुस्कराकर मेरे हर सवाल का जवाब दीजिये.

मैं तो हूँ बनता हुआ मिटता हुआ पानी में अक्स,
बेहतर होगा मेरा अक्स अपने दिल में समां लीजिये.

दिल में उठते हुए तूफान को कब का दबा चुका था मैं,
आज फिर से दिल में बुझे हुए शोलों को दहका दीजिये.

जब भी आप सामने आते हो कुछ बात नहीं होती है,
गर ज़ुबाँ साथ नहीं देती तो आँखों का तो इस्तेमाल कीजिये.

हज़ार रिश्ते  तोड़ कर दौड़ा चला आएगा "बेताब",
कम से कम एक बार मुझको प्यार से तो बुला लीजिये.
