raat ka wuqt humain paagal bana deita hai,
naa chatay huaye bhi, gahri soch mein dooba deita hai.
jo din bhar humaaray zakhmon ko cheerta rahta hai,
yeh andheira , ussi kaantay say ishq kerna sikhaa deita hai

rooh ki pyaas ko aur barhaa deita hai,
dard ko chuppa kar, ruswaye ko bhula kar
yeh sanaata dil ko aur bhi tadpaa deita

dil mein jhaanka tou ussi sitaray ko paya,
labon nay jiska geet gungunaya,
ishq mein doobgaye hain ussi phool kay,
jiski mehk nay humayn raat bhar rulaaya
