Attention to Yoadmin/Monitors

My First day On Yoindia:

Registration was simple.. But after log in I faced so many times DATABASE ERROR msgs. Very frustrating.

I saw an msg that I will be able to use signature functionality after 10 posts and I will be able to use PM functionality after 30 posts. But some how with 30 posts I am not able to see anyone's avatar including mine... Are there any limitations of posts for that. If yes, then please include that also in your welcome msg.

I was logged out automatically and then site didn't accept my right password. I followed the link FORGET YOUR PASSWORD. Link from first e-mail was giving me error msg.. So I tried again.. E-mail took more then 10 min to show up in Inbox (poor server or poor service)

I try to posts msg as Guest user that I am facing this problem. Got msg that I am not allowed to post.... why.... there was no reason given... very frustrating.. Again

Finally I received second password set e-mail and this time succeeds to set up new password. I also saw that there is time limit set up field when we log in... But you know.. No NEW user does not know how your site is working.

A welcome e-mail with all these points will be a great welcome for new members. I know this site so I tried to do all this... But trust me any new user will not BOTHER to face all this troubles and will move to another site....

We have 10 posts and 30 posts restriction in order to fight discourage spam, sorry but we have to do this.

About you being logged out, I guess that there was some temporary problem at your end, like resetting of cookies, deletion of browser session etc.

About Avatars not visible,have fixed the issue, I hope now you are able to see your avatar / signature as well as others.

To verify everything, I created a test account in normal way, the email was delivered instantly. Many times its route through which email reach destination, so there can be delay. I won't name any but there are certain email provider which sometimes take many hours to show any email in inbox from few other providers.  Yoindia sends thousands of mail daily and almost all receives it instantly.

I surfed as test account for 1/2 hour and there was no auto logout, I then manually logged out and was still able to login via password I set during registration. You do receive a welcome email mentioning your "username" and your "password", rest we used to do via "Welcome PM" but that one is no longer working since Yoindia upgrade but shall be back soon.

About seen timeframe to keep logged in, well, other sites mostly have only "Always Logged in " option but we have few others also, which simply means if there is no activity by you and if you select "Keep logged in for 1 hour" then it will log you out after 1 hour of inactivity. So there is just simple learning curve. However, we answer member if they come up with any question.

I am glad that you point out the problems, however problem of database is still under consideration, shall be solved soon.

Thanks Adminji, Yes now I am able to see my avtar including others too... I think that 1 hr. functionality logged me out as I didn't set anything for me.

First time user 60 min ke baad automatically logged out ho jaata hai due to Default 60 min. limitations. Adminji apne 30 min wait ki, issi liye app yah auto logout nahi dekh sake. wait for 61 min with new user account or old account you will be able to see this. First time user ko is default setting ka pata nahi hota.
I think you should add this point also in your welcome Msg.

60 min logout is there if there is no activity by you for any given sixty minutes else you wont' get logged out even for days if you are checking Yoindia atleast once a sixty minutes. We will compile a FAQs thread or article where we can list questions asked by users and answers to them. Shall start soon.

Also, We have solved that "DATABASE ERROR" problem but if still anyone encounters it then please let us know.

This 60 min. Rule is not True Admin ji. Sarthika lagataar posts kar rahi thi jab 60 min ke baad wo automatically log out hui... kai baar mai jab log in karte waqat 60 min ko change karna bhul jaati hu tab mai posts kar rahi hoti hu aor submit karati hu to log out ho jaati hu!!!

maine ajj jayada posts nahi ki... magar abhi tak database error nahi dekha. Thanks for all your Hard Work Adminji!!!

You may also get logged out if there is some cookie reset in browser, temporary file deletion which are used by browser or change in IP address which may be due to reconnection of internet on its own. So it asks again for password for security reasons.
