This is interesting, thanks Sayyid sahab for bringing this to my notice. Also, after going through the posts of several friends of mine, i felt like smiling.

First of all, i was the one who opposed the gaming section, when it was introduced....but i was denied on various grounds.

Anyways, coming back here.....what does the number of post signify....your activity in yoindia....rgt???

Now, sometimes i see my number of posts, some 4500 odd.....i feel i am a kid in front of many people around.....true so, coz i am not a regular anymore....byt i have been hanging around here since 2005.....still only so less number of posts......because i dont go ever to any of the gaming section.

Yoindia, when i got introduced to it, was a shayari portal, and thats the reason i chose it over others.....but i have seen it being more of a gaming site lately.

Now, since gaming was imbibed with everyone's consent, why the issue of not counting the posts....it u accepted it as a part of yoindia....then why this biased attitude???

And......for people who are arguing that the posts should be counted, well... if you come to yoindia only to meet new people and spend sometime playing online.....then why worried about post.....how does it matter whether u have thousands of posts on your name or not.....ur here for fun....have it!! You are here to meet n know people....that too will happen if ur regular....those who know you, know you.....those who dont....will probably wont.....coz i still feel there are some people who still do not go to gaming site...

Mr. Admin, there was a time when the number of posts would signify how serious a member is into shayari......but now it signifies how often a member comes here.....the choice is again urs....u prefer the former or latter....i have seen some of the very senior members of the community washing away their hands without giving any logical explanations to their decision....i thought i should share my lines of thoughts too...i always preferred and will always prefer the old yoindia......but things shud change.....but for good....yoindia as a site to kill time never suits me good....but i know not many will agree with me...

Jaise ki mujhe umda shayar kaha gaya.....agar aap phir se games post ki counting include karte hain iss community mein....toh i would recommend removing this categorization.....coz it doesnt suit well.....just a request.

Yes, Yoindia is a Poetry Community by soul, gaming section was added when we found that many Yoindians are interested in that sort of activities too.

As its a poetry community then titles are as per poetic atmosphere. And titles will get biased if most of the activities are non-poetic. Yoindia always sticked to its poetic nature, no matter what problem we faced and in future shall try to focus with more effort on poetry.

Still, I invite people who already commented against this post count removal to give their views after considering above facts too. Be it open discussion and everyone's view is appreciated.

Dear iAdmin,

First, I am really sorry on the attitude used in my posts.
Second, I differ my opinion after having knowledge about a ground breaking classified information recently and which made me a lot to think and to change my opinion vice versa.

What came into my knowledge does not matter in general but does matter to only this thread regarding post counting.

I am sorry Sonia that I have to rethink to walk on the green's path, really sorry.

Mr./Ms. iAdmin, I was actually supporting this issue on behalf of members who try to learn poetry in some manner and at least they read and appreciate. There is no such intention of making it personal issue here because I believe in optimism and when thinking purely about poetry, I have reviewed each and every aspect affecting it either so badly or in the interest of, later it came as an optimistic approach to the matter after reading Mr. Randeri and Mr. thecreator and all odds, I found out that the counter and specifically titles should be managed according to the poetry and forum support contribution, games should be taken care separately and accounted as an extracurricular activity at YoIndia.

Games makes us feel better and refresh us before and after reading and writing here on YoIndia.
But, this step is helping to promote more poetic valor and interest in the members and visitors to see quality material here on YoIndia. Games also leave a black dot on the poetry forum's poetic activities and the name of Shayari-e-Adab. Please, mind it.

In this connection I decide to expel my vote in support of Sonia jee previously and now raising hand to iAdmin's call for rethinking it. And after rethinking I said no to "gaming posts couting".

Well, I also request other members to support the views of Mr. Randeri, thecreator, iAdmin and green UFOs who all support Poetry posts counting only.

I hope this rethink will raise the bar again to support poetry only posts.

On other communities, they are called Moderators and on Yoindia they are called Monitors but I guess as Sayednami just gave another name. Mr. iAdmin thinks that we should now on call Monitors as Green.

Its good to know that more people appreciated the fact about encouraging poetry.

Dear Admin,

    After reading everyone elses thoughts.....I rethought it nd now i am in sport of "Games Posts NOT Counting"....because Yo is a Poetry site nd we need to encourage that more then other topics....

For those who dnt kno poetry well i advise them to just write whats in their heart....i do rite im not sure if im good at it or not but when ever i rite i rite it from my heart...nd what forms is an awesome poem ( or so my friends say... )....if u try u can also rite....but Yo is a poetry site nd so it should be ruled my poetry not games.................

    But Admin Ji it is also not fair becuz the older members got to raise their posts my gameing.....nd that is not being offered to new commers.........

The whole affair is becoming so amusing to me now....specially in the light of new posts from people.

First of all, i do not understand why is it that the number of posts have become so important all of a sudden.....just because it satisfies your ego???

I agree that everyone may not be as comfortable writing as someone else might be......but does that stop you from trying.....has it ever happened that anyone has been criticized for his/her writing.....so whats this big deal about good or bad in writing.

Sonai ji.....i dont know you....but i would like to ask you one thing....why do you think that u should get the titles of being a type of shayar....when you yourself admit that you are not someone who writes something of your own...can you give a good answer to it....i admit that you can read and appreciate what someone else writes....but does that make you a SHAYAR as you claim it does???

I agree that there are many people who have got a lot of number of posts to their name.....35k or whatever....but Sonia ji....how many of them...Pooja, Talat....n may be a few more....if you go and check, they have been consistently active in various other shayari forums as well....check their posts and you will see that they have themselves started 100s of topic by their own creation....i admit that a sizable number of post from them is from chit chat section n gaming section too.....but.....a how big this BUT is....they have equal contribution to shayari section too...and besides...if the number of post in gaming section is not counted....that is applicable to them as well...isnt it.....but they did not bother to make a new post here....coz i am sure that they did not even think about the number of post....

They say......ITS ALL ABOUT ATTITUDE.....some people like to make small things BIG.....for some....even big things are SMALL....its the way you look at it... i dont know but if it makes you happy.....i recommend Mr. Admin to award you 20,000 posts permanently against your name....probably this will solve the matter once for all.....what say...

On that note....Mr. Admin....i have one doubt here....i used to be yoindia monitor once....has the monitorship status stopped now or is it that i have been removed from it....if its the latter case....i would have appreciated if i was told....

Sonia ji......i know i am way too harsh with words....way too direct in my speech......but then....i did not mean to hurt u or anyone here....its just that fighting over a issue which is not even a issue annoys me....come here and enjoy....thats what you want....right....no one is gonna get an award if he/she reaches 50000 posts.....think and you will realise that you are fighting for something which is non-existant to many here... Sorry anyways if i was too blunt.

Amit, I really appreciate your views...and true to your words, number of posts dont matter to me, I am happy to start from post no. 1 or no post at all against my name... as far as reaching this number is concerned, much much more than gaming or chit chat, I remember doing shayari jugalbandi for hours daily in Funny Poetry, Dard and Miscell. sections, mostly with you, Samnoj and Humtum

Btw, I was of the impression that you are STILL a monitor !!! I will take this opportunity to request Admin Ji to restore your monitorship.
