Coming Home..... by Abul Asad

For some twenty full moons was I gone
Over many a fierce seas I sailed with calm
Facing many a black storm’s, angry, evil glares
Returning it with a stare, made hard over time
With a face worn rough over hard battles fought


Defending my ship, my turf, my weak twig
In the face of a mighty storm’s lashing anger
Winning some battles with scars rough and deep
I finally see my land far over the seas bulge
Happy thy name is prayer answered

When I walk in through my door and  
I Smell the floating whisps of my home's sweet aroma
Filling my nostrils like the waves of fine music
And i feel the soft warmth of her deep hug and kisses
wrapped arms so tight and so loving

I hear the stray dogs barking in the lane
I hear the parrot call my name with a taunt
I know I am finally home….. to live another day
To face another storm, To take another blast of wind..

Raat ki Roti by sksaini4

रात   की  रोटी   सुबहा  खाली |
इक  मुफ़लिस  ने  ईद मनाली ||

हाथ  भी  खाली  पेट भी खाली |
लोग कहें   इसको   ख़ुशहाली ||

बच्चों  की   मेले  की ज़िद पर |
बेबस    बाप   सुनाये  गाली ||

कुछ    पैसे   बोनस में  देकर |
आकाओं    ने  रस्म निभाली ||

किससे क्या उम्मीद   वफ़ा की ?
दुनिया   सारी   देखी  भाली ||

जब उनसे   कुछ   कहना चाहा |
तब   दातों  ने  जीभ  दबाली ||
