About India, I know that every country has good and bad things. I went to Thailand a couple years ago, and I infinitely preferred it to my native country, so it made me curious about all of asia. Thailand has a few indian influences...
About Bharathnatyam, I know now that is is northern also, I was a little confused because my teacher (who is from chennai) told me that the best places to learn Bharathnatyam are in the south. Which lead me to believe it was a south indian dance. But I know better now.
My teacher told me that she thinks Kuchipedi is very beautiful, more beautiful even than the art she teachs, Bharathnatyam. So I am very curious to see it. I read a book about an american girl going to Hyderabad in the 70's to study Kuchipedi, it was a good book. I have also heard of Orissi and Kathakali and Mohiniattom. But I haven't seen any of these. I am definitely going to try, when I go to next year.

Because she was talking to me about Kuchipedi and Bharathnatyam and India.
