halak me jo kub se thee atkaayi!

abhi woh chaah he baaki
jo charche bun nahi paayi!

abhi woh raah bhee to hey
roshan jo na ho paayi!

abhi woh 'waah' likhni he
jisey tu sun ke itraayi!

likhtey rahe itna to
jaane kya-kya na kehdenge
mujhe dur he bus zara itna
sach ki ho jaaye na ruswaai!

aankhein kar rahi hain bayan bas alfaz baaqi hai

yu hi sabra mei kat na jaaye zindgi tanha
k tum kehte rahoge k kehne k liye abhi umra baaqi hai

na tod e-hamdam k khushiyon se dil hai jara bhara
k dhadkan mei mere tera samaa jaana baaqi hai

tere honto se kuch shabnami oos hai girti k
mere aachal ko abhi tera sparsh karna baaqi hai
