Pradeep Srivastava, an important name in the world of music had his M.A., LLB. Degrees from Kanpur University along with Senior Diplomas Classical Vocal & Sugam Sangeet from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad. He served Income Tax Department of the Government of India as Administrative Officer, for quite a number of years.As a poet, writing under the pseudonym ‘Raunaq Kanpuri’, Mr. Srivastava participated in poetic symposia along with such poetic luminaries as Khumar Barabankavi, Krishna Bihari Noor, Bashir Badra, Sagar Azami, Wasim Barelvi, Qayum Naashad, Rafiq Sadani,Sanki, Dr.Syed Mehandi Zafri, Nasir Jaunpuri, Naaz Pratapghari , etc.
