Karne to aye the chaand ka deedaar hum,do chaand nazar aagaya,
Socha kaunsa chaand asli hai humne, chaand se baat karte hue.

Chaandni banke utar gaya dil mein noor tere chehre ka,
Muskura ke jo dekha tumne, chaand se baat karte hue.

Tere labon ki surkhiyon ke mutalliq kuch kehna tha hame,
Humse bhi baat karliya hota tumne, chaand se baat karte hue.

Tere husn ki nazakat ka nazara karne ke taalib the hum isliye,
Chaand se karli hai guzarish humne, chaand se baat karte hue.

kal ane ka wada jo kiya“sahal”se tumne, chaand se baat karte hue.
Chaand ko bhi gawaah banaliya humne, chaand se baat karte hue.

Taalib= requisitionist.
Mutalliq=regarding.
Nazara= view.
