Dost ban ker bhi nahi saath nibhaane wala
wohi andaaz hai zaalim ka zamaane wala

ab issay log samajhte hein giraftaar mera
sakht nadim hai mujhe daam mein laane wala

kya kehein kitne marasim thhay hamarey is sey
woh jo ek shakhs hai mun'h pher ke jaane wala

tere hotey howe aa jaati thi saari dunya
aaj tanha hoon to koee nahi aane wala

muntazir kiska hoon tooti howi dehleez pe mein
kaun aaega yahan, kon hai aane wala

mein ne dekha hai bahaaron mein chaman ko jalte
hai koee khwab ki taabeer batane wala

tum takalluf ko bhi ikhlaas samajhte ho Faraz
dost hota nahi har haath milaane wala
