Nigahen bolti hai aur lab khamosh hote hai,
Kyu hai tumhe intezaar unke kuch labzon ka,
Dil ke saudagar toh aankhon se hi bolte hai.

humari sanson mein aaj tak woh, hina ki khushboo mehek rahi hai
labon pe nagme machal rahe hain, nazar se masti jhalak rahi hai

woh mere nazdeek aate-aate, haya se ek din simat gayi thi
humare khwabon mein aaj tak woh, badan ki daali lachak rahi hai

sada jo dil se nikal rahi hai woh, sheron-nagmon mein dhal rahi hai
ke dil ke aangan mein jaise, gazal ki jhanjhar jhanak rahi hai

tadap mere bekarar dil ki, kabhi to unpe asar karegi
kabhi to woh bhi jalenge usme, jo aag dil mein dehek rahi hai.
