Rang De Basanti...

Gum Bhai... Applauds; Indian to u too for ur efforts.

Now that this Government is providing Reservation in educational institutes then what is the need of reservation in Jobs. and to top it up they have given the deadline of 2 years to all the Private sector Companies to reserve seats on the basis of Caste.!!!

Yeh sarkar pehle bhi issi tarah ka ek farman zari kar chuki hai, Army mein Muslims ka count. Ek taraf to secularism ki batein karte hain Aur dusri taraf Desh ko Jati aur Dharm ke is tarah ke bantware kar tod rahe hain.

aap sabhi ne ek baat aur mark ki hogi, ki koi bhi political party iska virodh nahi kar rahi hai, sab mooh band kar baithe hain. Kyon???

Kyonki, sabke liye Arakshan ek Sanjha Chulha hai, Sab iss par ek sath apni Vote ki Roti sekenge.

Vikram betal ki kahani ki tarah dho rahe hain Arakshan naame ke Betal ko, Jo virodh mein bola uska Vote bank khatm.

Bass sab ek sath ek jut hokar is Jan Andolan ko ek aisa roop dein ki sarkar apne ghutne tek de. 54 saal se inhi netao ko jhel rahe hain.

Aur issi jan andolan ki agli kadi hai Voting, apne matadhikar ka prayog. Agar yeh neta apka bhavishya kharab karne par tule hain to aapke hath mein inka bhavishya hai. Aur yeh bhi tay hai ki issi tarah ke nirnayon se yeh sarkar jaldi hi Parliament se bahar ka rasta dekhegi.

Yaad rakhiye, Yeh Sarkar Janta ki, Janta ke Dwara, Janta ke liye hai... to Nirnaya Apka hi In a Democracy Pupulation have the Power. Use it.

Well, discussions are hot in this thread....I have been reading what all of you have been writing, but, I preferred writing last....

Ever since I was a student, we have always had discussions among friends about the validity and usefulness of such quoata system!!!!
What is it that we have obtained from these political stunts that the politicians pull up on us???...I guess, nothing formidable has happened to our country...We are still considered an under developed country..Villages are still villages and towns are still towns, just that a few flashy stores have opened up here and there and the number of people have increased.

Being a student I have faced the consequences of such a quota system in our country. Until 12 th standard I was not much inflicted by this because by gods grace I was among the best school and colleges in my city(courtesy good results).
I was however, inflicted by the "bane", quota system, during my admissions to the graduate school...I missed out on medical narrowly and wished there were a few more seats..I was having dental medicine offered to me and I turned it down and went ahead with the decision of pursuing Engineering...Here again I could see good students rueing the fact that they missed out seats by a whisker and wished that there was no quota system. No wonder I completely veto the agitation going on in our country against such a step against MERIT, against QUALITY STUDENTS, against FOOLISH POILITICAL GIMMICKS TO GAIN SEATS IN ELECTIONS....
[/color]
I am outside my country and have been lucky to get the right oppurtunities in life. But what about the students who are not so lucky and disdained in life because of such a quota system in education.....
Moving back to the issue of success of such a quota system on certain caste and tribes are still not very evident. I can write pages and volumes on this issue and would prefer writing about this again in the coming week....
Its time to RISE up the noble cause that the students have taken up. Its time good students get their seats in Engineering or Medical that they deserve based on their merit...Parents pour in money, time and effort on us, and we students, try our best to fulfill their desires..But such road blocks and non sense quota system always come as roadblocks and are a major setback in the way of a GOOD MERITORIOUS STUDENT....

Thanks for reading this article...I would once again mention here that these were my views. They are not intented to hurt any caste, creed or tribe..My heart is for the good students who miss out on their aims in life because of these quota system..

Quote from: "gum"
We really dont want quota system. Agar govt ko itni hi chinta hai baccho ke toh why dont they just decrease the cuttoff percentage or increase the number of seats for courses in the colleges. Aur agar yeh bhi nahi hota toh jaha itne flyover bana rahe hai kuch college hi bana de. this will help few more students to get seat in colleges. aur yeh bhi bhari lagtha hai toh they shuld not provide the seats to foreigner when they cant provide seats to the people from their own country.

Aur agar yeh bhi nahi hota toh chullu bhar pani mein doob ke mar jana chahiye sarkar ko.. doobne ke liye pani mein de dunga yeh bina puche ke tum ST ho ya SC

kya baat hai bade naraj ho SC...........ST pe lagta hai koi poorani dusmani hai kya..............waise parliament mein aur bhi log hai general ke unhe nahi doge dob marne ke liye pani.

arrey arrey... Gum ji ap isliye REservation ka protest kar rahe hain kyonki aapka pyar issi castism ke chakkar mein kho gaya.

Bhai, woh ek alag baat hai entire different thing, which doesnt matter to the quota system. haan ia gree castism is th thing that matters.  well i m sorry to hear abt ur love.

So guys, a lot of comments and thoughts have arrived. now there is one new thing happend the Miniters are such cowards that they flew away to save themselves from this thing

kindly go thru this below article and report :
::Quote::
New Delhi, May 29: The negotiations between the medical students and doctors on strike and the government might have to take a break. With the mercury soaring and facing political heat as well, the Union ministers tackling the burning issue of quotas are planning to cool their heels abroad. While some are already out of the country, others are in the process of going abroad shortly. Union minister without portfolio Oscar Fernandes, who left for Washington on Monday, is the fourth member of the Cabinet to leave the country — after defence minister Pranab Mukherjee, human resources development minister Arjun Singh and health minister Anbumani Ramadoss. All of them were members of the special group set up by the Prime Minister to find a solution to the reservation issue. "We are sitting on hungerstrike here. Who are we supposed to have talks with since all the ministers have gone abroad?" said Dr Neha Ahluwalia, resident doctor at New Delhi’s Maulana Azad Medical College. Mr Fernandes, who has been negotiating with the striking doctors on behalf of the government since the beginning of the two-week-long strike, held an inconclusive round of talks with the medicos on Sunday, only to depart for Washington on Monday. Interestingly, HRD minister Arjun Singh, who is at the centre of the reservation controversy, is on a nine-day visit to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to "boost educational ties" between India and West Asian nations. "Mr Arjun Singh apparently wants to boost ties with other countries and improve their educational opportunities when there are serious education concerns bothering India," said Sasmit Sarangi, a representative of Youth For Equality, the group which is spearheading the ongoing anti-quota agitation. Mr Singh is expected back in India on June 6. "This shows the lax attitude of the government, which hardly seems concerned. Currently almost 60 medical colleges are on complete strike. The government says we are not showing concern for patients, but how serious are they about resolving the quota issue?" added Mr Sarangi. While Mr Pranab Mukherjee is currently on a visit to China and Singapore and will be back on June 4, health minister Anbumani Ramadoss has virtually disappeared from the reservation scenario, which has hit the health sector the hardest. "Mr Ramadoss is completely silent on the issue. It is shocking since the health system of the country is bearing the maximum brunt of the crisis," said Mr Sarangi. Mr Ramadoss, incidentally, is on a visit to Geneva till May 31 for the inauguration of an exposition of Indian medicine, highlighting the strength and potential of Indian medicine. ::unquote::

so this is what is happening. The politicians are worreid abt thier "Office of Profit" Bill to be passed. They stopped the working of Parliament shouting for thier own benefit every single political party shouted and made noise for the office of profit bill but none is ready to even whisper in front or off the press or camera against the REservations. what des that signifiy?

I love my Chair and OFfice. let the Public suffer. They r from us and we have chosen them to be there. MEans its we who maxde mistake some where in the discussion here i read that the most of the politicains r from OBC/SC/ST and all the memebers of parliament are somewhere connected to some crime or some case is under scrutiny in courts or CBI is investigating.

Who is responsible for this? They cant enter the Two houses unless we let them.

All we have to do is in these 54 years we have been always exploited by those who we elected. "Apno ne hi loota".

Reservations, this weekend i went to the most backward areas of MP (Dhar, Jhabua areas), population is mostly SC/ST. The condition of Gov. School buildings is something that cant be called a school, thier living standard and the activities they are engaged in.

The statistics say that after reservations and increasing seats in the institutions (if increased) the total expenditure will be more that 800 Crore Rupees.
I say y provide Reservations, spend these 800 Crore in providing them better, living, better primary, secondary education and lift them up, bring them to mainstream, by doing so and Please dont do that thru govt. agencies or thru Buerocrats sitting as IAS/IPS /IFS officers. let the NGOs or independant agencies do it to let the things and money spent reach the needed poeple.

To ask the private sector comapnies provide jobs by reservation to OBC/SC/ST, its better that the govt should ask the big houses or corporates like Infosys, Wipro, Bharti Group, Godrej, Tata, Birla, Reliance Group to come forward and work for these Castes and bring them to mainstream by opening schools, health facilities and such activities.

So once again repeating what i have always said in my posts in this topic

WE GOT THE POWER - ELECTING GOVT AND POLITICIANS BY VOTES. THIER TICKET TO PARLIAMENT IS IN OUR HANDS. SO ALWAYS VOTE IN ELECTIONS TREAT THIS AS YOUR FIRST DUTY FOR NATION.
