despite my senior member's opinions...i would still say we need to put such a forum..probably not discuss on religions but we need such a forum...

   hello! Mr.iAdmin,
       I think we can use some other facility same like the suggested forum.
       so there is no need to add any new forum in present. sorry! but i don't
       know what is the purpose of the forum and it also depends what are the
       terms and conditions with it. i know that ranjeet ji's idea has a valid
       reason. so wait for other responses to take any decision.

I think having discussions and debates is a wonderful idea however I don't think we need a separate forum or should have set guidelines.  However, I would still participate in discussions and debates with or without the separate forum.

Sir this a good news that u r starting a debate forum .it is a superb idea. In india all have right to express his opinion about any topic . with the help of this forum we YoIndians can also express our views and i am aperson who love these debates. With the help of this i will be expressing my opinions about the sizzling hot topics Thanks sir

If we have separate section..it should help people with various intrests...But from my experience, such debate forms end up in abuse/fights between people of various tastes....

If at all there is going to be separate debate section, a strong/unbiased set of moderators should monitor each thread regularly...

If we YoIndians can debate without fighting, then it should be a great thing to have as people can talk other than poetry..

PS: All care should be taken to make sure these debate section doest put us far from Shairi forums....which is base ;-)

I completely agree with Javed Ji and Celmira Ji.such discussion are knowledgeble
and if there is no personal attack or force on others to agree on one's point of arguement then having a different forum for debate is appreciated or else it is not.in such a situation one has to monitor the comments of each individual but again you cannot tell that person that you are offending the gist of the discussion that will lead to personal problem.well talking about my personal opinion i would say no to new forum because i joined yoindia on the grounds of shayari and hence i would not use seperate forum for debate or discussion.

If yoindia decides in favor of the proposed FORUM, the discussions should be limited to Literary Criticism only; otherwise, those days shall not be too far-off when this will soon be converted into a RELIGIOUS BATTLE GROUND, and I'm sure that shall pose a real serious problem for the administrators of this lovely website! Hence all pros and cons must be looked into, before going ahead with the matter!

i have just read everyone's view regarding the debate Forum..

according to me, having a forum exclusively for debate may cause serious troubles for a beautiful site like YOINDIA..

A debate may start with a Peaceful note, but you never know, it may heat up with different views on different topics..the biggest drawback in a debate forum is that you can never  draw a line,coz at that period of time,people may take other person's views,  too personal..Criticising others is easy but being criticised is tough..and ABDBUNDELI SIR is absolutely right if discussions are made on any Religious topics..you never have an end to it...so according to me,inviting trouble at your door is not wise enough..a big No from my side..

Hi Everyone

Most of the ppl are agree not to open new forum. Beside this , this is true any debate can take turn either side ,good aswellas ugly.So Admin. has to put such person to monitor who has guts to control the situation with his knowledge , logic as well as documentary proof. Ppl must have respect for eachother and instead of hot topics discussion , they have to see the reasoning , logic, knowledge and the ground of the fact findings.

Such as Some one has asked about muhabbat,everyone has has given definition about  muhabbat ,is totaly different.In any lit. no one agrees with other , I m talking regarding scholars, so this debate will never end and no body can challange too.If u want I can give u different 1000 definitions about this but I will not agree or so many may not.
So it depend on topic aswellas who is saying what, what is his capability, what is his knowledge , caliber ,status and ground.
This is also fact ppl will not give thier proper identity or source to prove the fact findings.Any way that can be judge by their reasoning and writing.Religious debate sure a 'tedhi kheer'
only those q. will be debated which r not going to hurt, otherwise they will be locked without any further discussion.

In my opinion if we go on this direction, ther will be no problem.

Let us see ,what other think. then Adm. can make any proper decision.How,  this advice is judged.

main ajj bahoot dino baad Yo per aai hu, ek najar sabhi ke posts per dali hai, magar details nahi padi. Mera sujhav yah hai ki chit-chat section main kuch debates start ki jaaye aor dekha jaaye ki yo-member kaise reply karte hai.. agar success hua to new Forum banaye aor agar fail.. to likhne ki jarurat nahi.
