~Sadhus With Cells~

Some surprises were in store at the recently concluded Ardh Kumbh Mela
in Allahabad. Many Sadhus who are congregated there were carrying Cell
Phones in their hands in place of the usual Kamandals which they are
normally expected to carry.

The height of all was the sight of a few high-tech Sadhus carrying
Laptops . When asked to comment, they remarked that they, too,
have to keep pace with the technological developments. Inside a Palatial
Tent in the Sangam area, One Sadhu became cynosure of everybody. Instead
of meditating or chanting 'Ram, Ram', he was busily checking E-mails
in his laptop.

He proudly claimed that he was the first Acharya in India to use a laptop.

Another Sadhu was found whose sermons were replete with examples of
Physics and Mathematics....
