This is one of the most popular prayers offered to Lord Ganesha.
Ganesha is the God of obstacles.
However many people do not know the following:

Hence the prayer:

Shree Vakratunda mahakaya koti soorya samaprabha,
nirvighnam kurumedeva shubha karyeshu sarvada.

O lord with the twisted trunk, with the effulgence of a billion suns,
always remove the obstacles which come our way while we start any work.

Lord Ganesha wears a white garment and is all-pervading.
He has a bright complexion, has four arms, and has an ever smiling face.
It is upon this God, that I meditate upon, for the removal of all obstacles.
