"To try to hold onto India is futile,if the war has shown anything it's that nothing can stop a people with a passion and a just cause"
I lifted these words from the NEW YORK POST 2nd SEPT 1945,it was a qoute from an un-named prominent politician after an article on the Mahindra & Mahindra factory opening.
I have never seen India nor my father nor my grandmother,so what i ask of you, does this statement still hold true,or your'll still a people of "passion" and "just cause".
The youth the world over have become a liability to the countries they inhabit,a total lack of direction, drugs, sex and many other "evil" habits have resulted in so many "lost generations"
I know South Africa, has a major problem Canada has the highest runaway's worldwide, the USA,UK,France, its the same story the world over.
Is India different?,so i ask
INDIA:WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO YOU?
OH YES FOR MY PERSONAL CURIOSITY,
ARE YOUSTILL INDIAN IF YOU CANT SPEAK HINDI

For me india is my nation and i love my country..
in india we still have our tradition and culture ,but as you said
still some countries are suffering from some major distress..
There are good and bad habits too among some people in
this generation but as long as we indians we always see that
we prove the best for our nation and follow the good traditions
which our elders teach us also encourage our youth today to follow
the good habits in our country ..we always feel india our nation
Humara bharat mahan ( which says our India Is Great).

From corporate bigwigs to technology whiz kids to Hollywood impresarios, American Indians have leapfrogged into mainstream America.

With Bobby Jindal one step shy of becoming the first American governor of Indian origin, in Louisiana.

American Indians are running Fortune 500 companies and regularly featured in top business magazines across the world. Rono Dutta, president of United Airlines; Rakesh Gangwal, president and CEO of US Airways; Kolkata-born Rajat Gupta, the managing director of consulting giant McKinsey & Co.

The number of New Economy millionaires is in the thousands. Some successes are well known, such as Vinod Khosla, co-founder of Sun Microsystems; Sabeer Bhatia sold Hotmail to Microsoft for $400 million; Massachusetts' Gururaj Deshpande, co-founder of a number of network-technology companies, was at one time worth between $4 billion and $6 billion.

About one-third of the engineers in Silicon Valley are of Indian descent, while over 7 percent of valley's high-tech firms are led by Indian CEOs.

Technology of course is the known area of Indian expertise. The story has moved further. Prominent Indians who have become symbols of success for the Indian community are the late Kalpana Chawla, who became the first Indian American to fly in a US space shuttle; Walt Disney paid Manoj Night Shyamalan $2.5 million for the screenplay of the movie The Sixth Sense. Amartya Sen won the Noble prize in economics in 1998, joining laureates Har Gobind Khurana of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and S Chandrashekhar in medicine and physics.

After IT India now moves towards Biotechnology

According to one research India will emerge as a super power in IT and Medical Research by 2025.

Asian Indian Achievements in USA
There are now more than 1.7 million peoples of Indian origin in America. They reflect the multi-ethnic, multi-religious and multi-lingual society of India.
Indian Americans are represented in many fields including academics and entrepreneurs, doctors and lawyers, engineers and financiers.
More than 87% of Indians in America have completed high school while at least 62% have some college education. As much as 58% of Indian Americans over the age of 25 hold a bachelor's degree or higher.
High levels of education have also enabled Indian Americans to become a productive segment of the U. S. population, with 72.3% participating in the work force.
Of these work force participants, 43.6% are employed in managerial and professional specialties.
Technical, sales, and administrative support occupations constitute another 33.2% of the work force.
The remaining 23.3% of the population works in other areas, such as operators, fabricators, laborers and precision production.
More than 5,000 Indian Americans today serve as faculty members in institutions of higher education in the U. S.
About 300,000 Indian Americans work in technology firms in California’s Silicon Valley. They account for more than 15% of high-tech startups in that region. The median income of Indian Americans in that region is estimated to be $125,000 (average $200,000) a year.

I am an Indian, living in UK.

India is great....so what if a girl is gang-raped by her own teachers in her own college.
India is great...so what nobody (almost) follows the law..the rules...everyday a person die under wheels of a bus which had been banned and still runs.
India is great....so what if 27% of the population is under poverty line..but we have Ambanis (the richest)..and other big names with big bank balances.
India is great ....so what if resident of one part of the country is an "alien" in other part of the country.
India is great...so what if we still fight in the name of religion & caste....

India is really great...whatever is happening, we ourselves are responsible for that.
I love India....but honestly I feel scared of going back....back to my own country where I dont feel safe (brutal truth !!).

what is India... India  is you and me. How we see India, what we do and what we can do. sirf apne desh ki burai dekhna aor uski achievments ko najar andaz karna, kaha ka insaaf hai. Her insaan mai kuch galat kuch acha hota hai. aor insaano se shehar aor shehro se Desh banta hai. Jab her insaan mai achai aor buraai hai to desh mai achaai aor burai hona sawbhavik hai. Hum apni hi achaio aor buraio ke liye desh ki sirf burai dikhaye.. khud hi sochiye!!

Apko dar lagta hai apne hi desh mai ane ke liye aor app sansar ke top 10 crime mai ane wale desh mai rah rahi hai. ( Sorry for direct Comment) Magar mera bharat mera bahoot apna hai.. wo mujhse bana hai aor main bharat se
