free of hurt I cried for my treasure
my unspoken pleasure so long awaited

I could hear the screams beneath

no more fear, blind havoc with tears
for I escaped quickly those bitter years.
I did not take cognizance to the past,
but visions of the future were glimpses,
yet they slipped through my hands so tenderly.
I saw a moment that I could not erase
falling gently, so sweetly, my soul raced
to forgotten springs, falling leaves from trees
I could not keep the pace forever traced.
Memories from desert sands of charcoal
remain deep in the sleeping night,
and burning blood on it's winding floors
cuts my gaze with the thought of life.
