A white rising smoke
seen from miles away
a fine spray of water
for those near it.

Getting closer, I see the flowing water
causing ripples and sweet sounds
walking along, I see its momentum
louder and forceful
and creating a beautiful spectrum
Tons of gracefully falling water
Millions watching it breathlessly
Calm and furious within a mile
A blend of extremes
to see and to smile
Beginning and end -unknown
Nature at its best
Ageless and perfect
causes a lovely effect
Belongs to which era? someone asks
none , comes the reply
For it is none other than
The mighty Niagara
