*Shattered Dream*

My dreams are shattered now,
Broken into pieces
The broken pieces are scattered now
Wherefrom the seeds of hope, faith,
Inspiration should I sow?

My heart has become hollow now
My eyes had adorned my dreams
Not tears in them
And that, my dreams are shattered
My eyes have no tears to shed
Oh!! but why the trees are wet?
And why the little champa is
Bearing on her a pearl like droplet?

Perhaps the endless sky has shed
Tears for me all around
Now there is only sorrow
In my heart's little burrow

To my despondency, I see no end
But Oh, The King Of Heavens, for me
A ray of hope, you send
So my shattered dreams, can I mend.
