Sorrow is Pleasure...... Abul Asad

How could one think of joy
when sorrow is the real pleasure of life
Joy is merely a passing fancy.
The reality of life is sweat and blood
Toil and pain, labor and gain
 

The sweetest of sounds are those
Sighs and grunts of labor,
the most wretched of sounds
I have heard in life are those
of spoils and pleasure
Of wealth and splendor.
 

I would rather die toiling, struggling,
yearning, caring, loving, worrying,
glorifying the God that created me,
Thank full for the days earnings,
rather than weary and despairing,
carefree and loathing in life’s pleasures.
 

Embrace the sorrow, for it is true pleasure
Embrace the toil for in it is pleasure
Embrace the sweat for in it is true happiness.
Embrace the separation in it is true love.
Togetherness is but a test.
Separation is real Love.

For yearning is born from it.
