I saw these shoes which were blue
A nice cute pattern and so very new
Flipping it, I saw the hanging price tag
Opening the zip, I checked in my bag
Didn't have that much, surely I could tell
I put the shoe back on the rack, and my face just fell
Walking out on the road, I was very quiet
Till someone moved, and  my eyes caught sight
A limping old man begging for food
In the scorching heat, which was not very good
I gave him some money and then I walked away
But looked up at the sky and I had something to say
Here I was feeling bad about the shoe
And there was the limp with no graceful move
I thanked the POWER for giving me two legs
and that day I realised
how hard it is to be a limp and to beg
