One at a time they touch the shore
Like someone knocking at your door
Over and again, day and night
They bounce off the shore: Oh! what a sight!

On moonlit nights a glow to them
Their base you know, one can't fathom
Sound of the ocean, a treat to my ears
Staring at it, brings joyful tears
Caressing the feet of people on the shore,
Beautiful waves, I do adore.
