My heart skipped a beat.
A step missed by my feet.
Your appearance, my eyes ready to greet
Loving you is such an easy feat.
As if a disease that none can treat.

Who are you?
And why do you have so much of an effect on my life?
Why does my heart beat for you?
Why does my world stop for you?
Why does my blood rush for you?
Why do I feel this way?

One tells me to forget,
The other says, “No.”
Why don’t they understand?
It’s not so easy to let go.

A weight on my chest
To me, now a stranger- rest
I no longer know what is best
To hold my feelings inside, lest
In my life, you turn out to be just a temporary guest.

Many a nights, spent thinking of you
Many a days gone, waiting for you
But you don’t seem to realize a thing
You don’t seem to have a clue

Storm after storm,
Torrents through my heart.
Washing away the last bit of energy
In hopes that you will soon see
Just how much one simple person,
You, can mean to me.

You have left me in such a tough position
Stuck between the grasps of love
Our friendship may not survive this risky situation
But I wait in hope of a miracle, perhaps from above.

They say that love is a big mistake
But it’s one that I’m willing to partake
To feel the pleasure that only love can wake
Love so pure that it’ll never be fake
If not for me, then for your sake.
And so I dove into love’s unfathomable lake.

So what if I can’t be with you
My love will remain
And somehow I will sustain
Perhaps you will then gain
That my feelings for you
Are so strong that it’s driving me insane.
