*The Memory Remains* (NM)

'Oh !! Please get up from the bed.!! Its already 8'O' clock.
You are getting Late for the office. The bed tea is ready.
Now come on, Please..!!, "said my wife. I was asleep but
still conscious. I opened my eyes and beautiful angelic
eyes came in front of them. Her blissful face at once
refreshed me..!!

I got up and started sipping the tea. "Has Ram got ready
for school?, I asked, but she didn't reply. I sensed
something fishy. To confirm, I called her by my side but
she didn't respond. I tried to think what the matter was
and what was she actually angry with. By this time,
she had left the room.

And suddenly i remembered, it was her Birthday today.
Now i got it. I decided to give her a surprise. But today
I was going to have drinks with my friends. Drinking was
the only habit of mine which she didn't like. However she
used to adjust very much comfortably.

"Have you still not got up?.. called my wife, with a little
stern voice. And soon I realized that I was still on Bed.
I got up quickly.

At the same moment she entered the room and headed
for the bathroom to have a bath. I called from behind,
"Radha, Radha"..!!.. She didn't respond but closed the
door. I still kept on calling, "Radha, please listen to me,
What happened to you?"...

And suddenly Ram entered the room, shook my hand
and said..., "Why are you calling her name Papa..!!
"Two months have passed since she had gone.."

And I just kept staring at him..
