Sabra jaayegaa kis bahaaney tak?
Beet jaauun na teyrey aaney tak?

Dil ki baateyn kahaan chhupaauun main:
Baat pahunchee hai jaa zamaaney tak?

Log kahtey hain, pahunch hee meyree,
Gar kaheen hai, to, baadahkhaaney tak!

Johtaa baat kharhaa huun rah mein:
Koyi pahunchaaye sanamkhaaney tak!

Nigaah mein hain mahaz chouraahey:
Kahaan rawaan hun wahaan jaaney tak?

Raahrou, kaash, deedahwar koyee,
Saath ho ley patah bataaney tak?

Bheerh hee bheerh hai, ‘abd’, aagey;
Nuzhat-e-zeyhn aazmaaney tak!

4th and 5th sher wazan se giray huay hein!!

Salaah key liye shukriyah! Wajan kaa fark 'Roman' mein likhney sey bhee aataa hai! 'Raah' ko Urdu mein 'rah' bhi likhaa jaataa hai!
