Waqt bedla, zindagi main halaat kaisay kaisay aayeh
Met pochou, zikr pay un kay mujhay rona aayeh

Ek kwaab say jaga ker, zindagi key teref
Khud apnee maut kay perwanay wapis layeh

Wo apnee zindagi main khush tha, main apnee main mahu
Kyun ek doojay say rebt berhanay, hum ies gelee main aayeh

Dooreyaan mit chukeen theen, dil ejeb mil gayeh thay
Bus aarray halaat jo zalim, apnay milan kay aayeh

Tout ker chaha, seb kuch tha lutaya ous per
Her resmain duniya tour ker, hum ousay apnanay aayeh

Kismet main apnee shayed na tha milan Khaki werna
Tedberoun kay tou mil ker, bahut cheker chelayeh
