humne bichaye phool woh us raah main kaha kho gayi
jo is katile gulistaan main mujhe akela chore gayi,

shayrana mijaaj bana liya humne is kader kiyon woh,
udaasion ka samaa meri mehfilon mein chore gayi,

kiya du sajja usko jo ki hai nadaani usne,har woqt
chubhi jo akser baat mere zajbaato mein chore gayi,

bichhad ke tujh se bikher gaye khayaal mere,ab
teri nazar mujhe ye kin manzilon mein chore gayi,

banake fakeer jo bethi mehlo main jaker,koi puche
usko kiyon mere hisee biyabaan basti chore gayi,

bas yahi gum hai ki woh kiyon dur ho gayi,jo woh
apni yaad main,meri aankhe surkh karke chore gayi,

kahan se dhoond ke laa'ye ab os nigaah ko[jeet]
jo kai berang umangein mere dil mein chore gayi,
