Ai kaash ki iss andhiyare mein, deepak hi jala jata koi
Iss dubte kashti ko lehron mein, tinka hi de jata koi

Qaid hue is chaar deewari, sadiyan jaise beet gayee
Haath pakad kar mousam tak humko bhi le jata koi

Yun toh hai kayi log yahan apnapan dikhlanewale
Chupke se kisi dil mein paley hum, aisa bhi ho nata koi

Raat hai gehri, chand hai sehma, jugnu ghurte rehte hai
Tanhayee mein mout na aaye, bahon mein reh jata koi

Tod ke chaand aangaan sajwaaya, raas manaya logo ne
Mera ghar bhi raat mein dooba, tara hi de jata koi

Tanhaayee qismat mein likhi, aanewaala koi nahi hain
Bekaar hai raste aankh beechana, isko bhi samjhata koi

Jhuti umeed pe jeete hai, na dubey  na ubharey hai
Ya toh humko raah dikhata, ya humko dafanaata koi
