Batoun batoun main kabhi ratain keteen theen
Betay dinoun kya kya na chahetain cheleen theen
Aaj unheen dinoun ka kheyal aaya hay,
Jin main khushiyaan beree sestee betee theen.

Hum keh ousay sembhaal rekhna chahetay thay
Her sefer main ousay saath rekhna chahetay thay
Baad ous gul kay, ab khaa'r he achay legain,
Shershaar khud ko feqt, ousee mehk say rekhna chahetay thay.

Ab keh semjay hain tujhay derkaar tha kya
Wo wadeh, wo kesmain, wo iqraar tha kya
Najanay judai kounsay jezbay ka sila hay
Edawet nahee? acha yeh tera pyaar tha kya?

Ous nay keha, baat purani janay bhee dou
Wohee gilay, wohee shikway, janay bhee dou
Ous key manee khaiz nezrain, phir uteen theen Khaki,
Acha kya jo souch, ab kay rehnay he dou!
