Ham unko laakh manaayen: subah ko raat kareyn:
Wo, magar, wo hain, zarooree naheen, ki, baat kareyn!

Meyree aawaaz sunaayee naheen deytee unko;
Laakh ham apnee sadaa ko sar-e-jazbaat kareyn!

Ham bhalaa kyoun bahaar ko khizaan banaa daaleyn?
Kyoun na wo aakey maraasim tagayuraat kareyn?          

Kyaa kareyn ham, bahaar-e-nou ko inhitaat kareyn?
Tark muttahdah anaasir ko, jamaadaat kareyn?

Wo, ‘abd’, dil mein aa basey hain: kyaa kareyn yaa Rab!
Ham unkey dar pai kharhey hain, ki, mulaaqaat kareyn!!
