Tujhi  ko  yaad   karta   hai     badi   shiddat   se   dil mera
Aye  jaanam  khauf  khaata   hai  teri  furqat  se dil mera

Mere  dil   ko    naa     tadpaao     mere   dilbar   chale aao
Teri hi  raah   meiN   baitha     kai    muddat   se   dil mera

Kabhi  nazreiN   milaate   ho     kabhi   nazreiN  chura lete
Dhadakta  hai   fir  aise   meiN  bahut  kasrat  se dil mera

MaiN un pe jaaN  chidakta   huN   haiN   unke naaz hi aise
Wo aksar   loot    lete    haiN,    haya   ghairat  se dil mera

Adaawat se  mera   tum   baal   baaNka  kar  nahiN sakte
Magar  tum   loot    sakte    ho    wafa    ulfat   se dil mera

Dhadakta hai jo seene meiN mohabbat ka samandar hai
Zara tum   kholkar    dekho     kabhi    fursat   se dil mera

Ye maana   hai    teri     sohbat     aye    ‘Iftakhar’  aisi hai
Kasak meiN  chayn  paata   hai    teri  sohbat  se dil mera
