ए ज़िंदगी बड़ी अजीब हो तुम
अमीर तो कहीं ग़रीब हो तुम

कोई नाम दो अब रिश्ते को
न यार मिरे ना रक़ीब हो तुम

भूल गया हदें फिर वो अपनी
जब मैनें कहा नसीब हो तुम

तेरे नाम से ही धड़कता है
मेरे बहुत ही क़रीब हो तुम

तेरा सितम भी सर आँखों पर
सुकून-ए-दिल ओ हबीब हो तुम

मेरा लिखा गर समझ गये हो
मैं  नहीं अच्छे अदीब हो तुम

शहंशाह  समझ  बैठा खुद को
कहता है 'सरु' से ग़रीब हो तुम
