              Qissa–e-gham……”Sahal”.

Roshni mein mera chehra nahi dikhta,
jabse hua qayam andhere se mera rishta.

Rolene do hamein barsaat ke aadh mein,
barish ki boondon mein ansu nahi dikhta.

sikka Khota ho gar to khanak koi nahi sunta,
Diljala hoto bazaar-e-husn mein nahi bikta.

Aibdaar nageena angothi mein nahi jachchta.
Utar jaye dilse koi to nigaahon mein nahi tikta.

Ho gaya mashhoor jab se mera qissa–e-gham,
Ab koi aur ghazal romaani “Sahal“ nahi likhta.

romaani=romantic.
aibdaar=defective.
