Tera   khayaal ,  teri   yaad  ,  aarzoo   teri '
Tamaam   umr   rahi   hum  ko    justujoo   teri

Bana   raha   thha   main   tasweer   bewafai   ki ,
Shabeeh   kyuuN   yeh   ubhar   aayee   hoo-ba-hoo   teri

Tamaam   raat   sajee   apni   Bazm - e - tanhaai ,
Tamaam   raat   rahee   khud   se   guftugoo   teri

Khayaal  tera   sar -e- shaam   kyuun   na   aaye   hameiN ,
Dikhay   hai   chaand   meiN   tasweer  ,  Maahroo   teri

Chaman  ke  gul  sabhi   mazhar   hain   teri   qudrat   ke ,
Tera   hi   rang   hai   sab   mein , sabhi   meiN  boo   teri

Diwaar  say   teri   tasweer , Maa ,  hata   dee   hai ,
Ki   aa  na   jaaye   kaheeN   yaad   be - wuzoo   teri

Teri   ghazal   mein  'Hasan'   chaar  chaand  lag  jaayein '
Ghazal   jo  gaa  ke   padhe   koi   khush - guloo   teri




Meaning of uncommon urdu words: shabeeh = image/pratima ; Maahroo=moon faced / chandramukhi ;  mazhar = reflection / prateek ; wuzoo = sacred wash before prayers ; Khush-guloo = madhur aawaaz wala
