Usee se aashnaa hun, jo shafaq-see hai, zareenaa hai!
Mujhe to dukhtar-e-angoor ke saaye mein jeenaa hai!!

Ahad thaa unkaa, pahunchaayenge le jaakar kinaare wo:
Magar ab dekhtaa hun, pot kaa patwaar jheenaa hai!

Dikhaa kar khwaab Jannat ke, hamaareen chheen leen khushiyaan;
Miyaan waaiz, yahaan may hai, mohobbat hai, haseenaa hai!

Tujhe maykhaane se Dozakh ki buu aatee hai: sunte hain?
Are ahmaq, wo khushboo hai; gulaaboun kaa paseenaa hai!

Bahut naayaab hai yah shai; bhalaa toubaa karen ham kyoun?
Hamaare jigar-o-dil fayyaaz hain; mazboot seenaa hai!

Mujhe do maykadaa; unko mubaarak ho bahut Jannat;
‘Abd’, kaalee ghataa hai, aur Saawan kaa maheenaa hai!
