Mein, rind-e-balaanosh naheen: jaantey ho tum!
Fir bhi, mujhey hai hosh naheen? Jaantey ho tum!

Peetaa hoon baarhaa wahee jo talkh-e-barq ho!
Mein shakhs khudfarosh naheen: jaantey ho tum!

Tum ney bahut diyaa hai mujhey koyee shak naheen!
Ehsaan faramosh naheen: jaantey ho tum!!

Gaaney ko, beykhudee mein gaa chukaa hoon mein gazal;
Baaqee, magar, wo josh naheen: jaantey ho tum!!

Zaahid ko hai haraam; 'Abd' ko halaal hai:
Yeh may hai! Aab-e-nosh naheen: jaantey ho tum!
