Roz dar roz kaafiley aaye!
Tum na aaye, mahaz giley aaye!!

Kaash, kuchh ho, ki, hamain bhii aakhir,
Hosh, tumsey binaa miley aaye!

Khat hain, qaasid hain; par, patah gaamiz?
Darbdar, lout baawaley aaye!

Wo kahaan hain, hamain nahiin maalum!
Baad-e-shab, kaash, saath ley aaye!!
 
Wo kahiin hain, ki, nahiin hain, saaqii?
Zeyhn mein khaam silsiley aaye!!

Lag rahaa hai, ki, dar pai hai koyii!
Saath unkey muaamaley aaye!!

Waayadah  gar nahiin nibhaanaa thaa:
Lout, tab kyon, ‘abd’, chaley aaye?
