                    thee shanasaayee aisee ,rahaa begaanaa umr bhar.
                    talaash kuch nahin uskee, rahaa diwaanaa umr bhar.

                    shakhsiyat aisee nahin, marr-mitey koyee mujh pe.
                    nigaah  kyaa  milee unse,rahaa  fasaanaa  umr bhar.

                   marz-e-ashiqee   ne  kiyaa  jeena   doobhar   mera.
                   bechaaree ek a-dadd biwee se rahaa bahaanaa umr bhar.

                   khataa   ek  meree  hee  akele  toh  na  thee  phir .
                   hua  kyon ghar meraa bachcho.n ka thikaanaa umr bhar.

                   ghazal   rindo.n   pe   kyaa  kah  diyaa  maine qalb.
                   rahaa  bazm -e-adab   phir  ye  maikhanaa  umr  bhar.
