KHAAR HOTAA

Ussey kaun dekh saktaa, ke yagaanaa hai woh yaktaa,
Jo due kee buu bhi hotii to kahin do chaar hotaa!
Yeh masala-e-tasawaf, yeh teraa bayan Ghalib,
Tujhe hum walii samajhte jo naa baadaa khaar hotaa!!

Who can behold him, he is
So singular and so unique
Had there been a shade of duality
Inimitable your style so unique
And your concerns so mystic
You would have been a prophet Ghalib
But for your love for women and wine
A taste subject to critique....
