Jo sirf sach kehte aur ibadat karte zindagi guzarte the,
Sochta hoon ab woh insaan kahaan hai?

Jo ate the kyun ki khushi thi unhe tumhari khushi ki,
Sochta hoon ab waise mehmaan kahaan hai?

Kabhi bina dekhe Khuda pe imaan late the mager aj daur hai kay,
Amal se pehle puchte hai, bhai, Khuda ka aisa koi farmaan kahaan hai?

Aj toh biwi kay ghar walon se rupaiya nikalne main lage hai log,
Sochta hoon aise logon ka sam’maan kahaan hai?

Barson se dua ki thi usse paane ki ‘Khamosh’,
Aj najane kyun dhudna parrta hai kay ab woh armaan kahaan hai?
