छलका दिये आंसू देखा जब सूखा हमने
गुलशन इसी तरहा बाख़ूबी सींचा हमने

रंग-ए-वफ़ा घुलता गया हवाओं में हाये
पाया दर्द में मोहब्बत को मिटता हमने

तू देख बाती नयनों की ओ दीया दिल का
छोड़ दिया तेरी राहों में जलता हमने

कब ज़ायक़ा ढूँढा तुझमें बता ए ज़िंदगी
मौला मिरे खाया खाना भी फ़ीक़ा हमने

हाये किसे नसीब होती हैं यहाँ मंज़िलें
हर क़दम खाया है मंज़िल का धोखा हमने

आसान लगती हैं राहें जिनसे गुज़र चुके
दौर-ए-आज ही में पाया हर ख़तरा हमने

मैदान छोड़ जाना फ़ितरत नहीं हमारी
हालात से लड़ना  हर क़दम सीखा हमने
