jab darde dil is kadr badh jaata hae
Tabhi to dil ka dard dawa ban jata hae

kar le ekaththi kitni bh dhan daulat too
bande tere saath to kuchh bhi nahi jata hae

kar le ekaththi logo ki dil ki duwaye
yaho to sab kuchh tere sath jaata hae

Tu ishk ki itni uchaaeyo par pahuch to sahi
tabhi to tera ishk ek  janun ban jaata hae

Milti hae jab wafa ke bdle bewafaee bando ko
tabhi to uske dil me ek nasoor ban jaata hae

dhdhakti hae jab virah ki jwala dil me"Rastogi"
tabho to wh banda ek shayr ya kavi ban jaata hae

जब दर्दे दिल इस कदर बढ़ जाता है
तभी दिल का दर्द दवा बन जाता है

कर ले इकठ्ठी कितनी भी धन दौलत तू  
बन्दे तेरे साथ तो कुछ भी नहीं जाता है

कर इकठ्ठी केवल लोगो की दिल की दुवाये
यही तो सब कुछ,बन्दे तेरे साथ जाता है

ले जा इश्क को इतनी उच्चाईयो पर तू
तभी तो तेरा इश्क एक जनून बन जाता है

धधकती है जब विरह की ज्वाला दिल में रस्तोगी
तभी तो वह बन्दा शायर या एक कवि बन जाता है
