mare dil ki andher nagari may chiraag na jalao,
mera dil mom ka hai kahi pighal na jaye



mari gul e guljaar aa bhi ja mughe tera kabse intzaar hai,
mari aankho se aansu beh rahe,kambhakhat ye dil bhi bekaraar hai,

hone ko to buhut kuch hota hai zindagi main akser,'
tu na samghi nadaan ke tu hamari zindagi ki bahaar hai,

mare apne to chore gaye mughe hijer main tadpne ke liye,
is dil main ek tare hi dard ki gum e gussaar hai,

waffao ka lutaf to bohut liya tumne zalim,
kisi or na nahi pata tari is baat ka hame atbaar hai,

hamari khushiya or dil ki aarzoo lut kar le to gaye ho,
[jeet] aaj bhi tera nighaho se lutaf udhane ka umeed waar hai,,,
