Haan humne bhi kuch pal hans kar bitaye thay
Appne bhi honthoo ne nagme pyaar ke gayee thay

Humne bhi bune thay haseen sapne kabhi yaroo
Khwaab kisi ke in annkhoo ne  bhi sajaye thay

Appne bhi aashiyaan mein cehakti thi bahare kabhi
Phool aur kaliyan appne ghar bhi khill muskuraye thay

Humne bhi dekha tha cehra kisi ka chand mein yaroo
Appne angan mein bhi taree kabhi aa  zhilmilaye thay

Gaya wo jab se zindgi se sab saath le gaya appne
Veerangi hain ab wahaan jahaan kabhi mehfiloo ke saaye thay
