Kaali ghatao sy chaand nikla,
                  Zulfo ko chehre sy jo tumne hataaya //
Pather bhi aah-bhar raha gaye,
                  Tabassum ko humdum jo tumne banaya //
Khaak ho gaye falaq ke sitare,
                   Dil me gau muze jo tum ne busaya  //
Khawab adhure rah gaye jhaan ke,
                   Palak par muze jo tum ne sajaaya  //
Har tarf muchi duhayi tumhare naam ki,
                    Haal-e-dil sabko jo hum ne sunaya //
Pyaar me hai bhut dam sab keh uthe,
                    Nagama-e-wafa”Ravi“jo tumne gayaa //
