Baad mudat ke umeed si bar ayi hai,
Nazar door se halki si kiran ayi hai.

Jo kho gaya tha,dekhkar khawabon mein use,
Maine bhi khush rehane ki kasam  khai hai.

Woh udas tha dekhkar  mujhe gamgin,
Socha kiyun? to baat samajh ayi hai.

Gar main dooba hun gam mein,to kuch hasil nahi hoga,
Koi na saath chalega,woh bhi mujhse khush nahi hoga.

Woh khush na rahe, yeh mujhe kabool nahi,
Is se to meri chahat ki hi ruswai hai.

Behtar hai ki main bhi jiyun auron ki tarah,
Khush nazar auoon usko main auron ki tarah.

To shayad bula le mujhe woh apne pas,
Mil jaye mujhe zald hi is jahan ke baad.

Kuch yahi soch kar chhod di tanhai hai,
Baad mudat ke umeed si bar ayee hai.
